I swear ‘One twat called Svennie’ only does this to try to be excepted as an Australian…..shame for him he was born here and has spent most his life on these shores of ours…..

Re: T20 Cricket World Cup
Given his full MEA CULPA & expression of anger at himself for his actions what else do you want to see him asked?
He made a full apology making no excuses for himself. As did someone like Matthew Hoggard.
Was pleased to see Alex Hales delivered his statement via a video message rather than the often scripted written apologies issued without the person speaking the words.
Ideally would be in person with questioning afterwards but its a start.

Just need the likes of Michael Vaughan, Gary Ballance & Joe Root to share their thoughts (& apologies if they are so inclined) in front of the press.

Apart from his Twitter statements, has anybody yet seen or heard an interview with Rafiq in which he is grilled about his own racism?

For a man who was omnipresent across media while the wind was behind him, he hasn’t half gone quiet.

Re: T20 Cricket World Cup
Current Cricket Australia chairman says that if his board had been in place in 2018 they wouldnt have appointed Tim Paine as captain.
Paine has had neck surgery and hasnt played for months and his club game in Tasmania was washed out today. Adding that in the idea that he could or should play at Brisbane is complete nonsense.
If common sense prevails he has played his last Test.

Carey & Inglis are in the group gathering in Brisbane for a 3 day Australia v Australia A warm up from Dec 1. Carey has been in Australia playing SHEFFIELD SHIELD while Inglis was in the t20 squad so its a fairly obvious pick subject to that warm up game.

Your face is controversial.

Re: T20 Cricket World Cup
not really though is it...he frequently bowled no balls that picked up wickets, and as Cameron Bancroft - the bloke who had TAPE WITH GRANULES in his pants - admitted, all the fast bowlers knew about it...so nothing I've said is remotely unfair or controversial

For desperation, see you re. Joe ROOT

Bit of a desperate reach to try & paint Pat CUMMINS as a wrong 'un, stewie

I've heard the ECB inspectors have made an unannounced visit to Alistair Cook's farm and found a whole flock of black sheep all called KEVIN
He has handed the knighthood back without a word

Patrick CUMMINS

He of the 20 yard pitch, and one of the chief beneficiaries and co-conspirators of the TAPE WITH GRANULES incident.

Smith's ban from the captaincy ran out a long time ago
Think it is looking fairly likely Patrick CUMMINS will take over.
First bowler to be Australian captain since presumably Richie BENAUD

Australia name a 15 man squad for the first two Ashes Tests plus another 11 so they can have a 3 day intra squad game on Dec 1-3

Australia A players Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Henry Hunt, Josh Inglis, Nic Maddinson, Mitchell Marsh, Matt Renshaw, Mark Steketee, Bryce Street

Re: T20 Cricket World Cup
Good luck to win tosses in those conditions .... though the dew factor was minimal in the latter games.
Obviously a 20 over game can be decided by one player or two or three bad overs .... Pakistan were the better team for 36 of the 39 overs of the semi final

Re: T20 Cricket World Cup
Plenty of days in the year for all formats as well and other than maybe India and Pakistan, most other teams use completely different players for test and white ball games.

People can moan about it all they like, but essex were pretty close to bankruptcy during covid because of the lost revenue from games, so be careful what you wish for as the format has generated billions in the sport.

INTEGRITY!

To top off the set of CHEATS, Cameron BANCROFT smashed 124no off 105 as Western Australia crushed Queensland in a 50 over match at the Gabba today.
Good times

Re: T20 Cricket World Cup
Obviously every team takes the world cup seriously but the lesser the overs the more luck prevails.
